Right-wing activist and commentator Charlie Kirk was fatally shot in the neck on Wednesday at an event at a Utah university.

More than 3,000 people were attending the outdoor event when Kirk was shot.

Video of the attack showed Kirk sitting under a tent and engaging in a back-and-forth discussion on mass shootings just before a bullet hits him in the side of the neck and blood begins to rush out.

Audience members screamed and ran from the scene.

In the hours since Kirk’s death, many friends have mourned him online, including Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker, who leaked the final text message he sent.

Others, on the other hand, have been trying to piece everything together in the videos released.

A few videos have been slowed down to show that the single bullet that was shot may have bounced off Charlie Kirk’s bulletproof  vest and into the side of his neck, likely killing him instantly.

As a result of the shooting, Utah Valley University says its campus in Orem, Utah, will remain closed through the weekend. Some devastating students may find it hard to deal with what they witnessed in real time.

On X/Twitter, chilling footage has emerged of the suspected shooter hanging out on a campus rooftop before and after the shooting. Here’s a video that was taken before Kirk was shot:

Someone else posted a video of a figure moving on a rooftop as the crowd took over. Viewer disrection is strongly advised:

A graph has emerged of the shooter’s possible view and escape plan. In another post, you can listen to the Utah County Public Safety dispatch call of the suspect’s description:
